Josa Peit sings, writes and sculpts soundscapes. The singer and producer is based in Berlin, the city of her family roots, where she started creating her own eclectic musical universe. Since coming onto the scene she has been raising her project and crafting her sound.
Josa combines influences from electronica with disco, psych, krautrock and soul elements. Her Debut EP 'Constellation' is out since September 2015 on the Berlin label The Gym, run by Brandt Brauer Frick and body building associates. 'Constellation' featured on XLR8R, The Vinyl Factory, DJBroadcast, Ransom Note, Moovmnt, BBC and KCRW.
Apart from her solo project she collaborated with London based enigmatic producer Drum Talk also teamed up with Josa in 2015. Their studio session resulted in the invigorating track 'Loose Again', out on Crosstown Rebels. In 2013 she worked with renowned German beatmaker Dexter. 'Pictures' was the first single to be lifted from the psychedelic Dexter album 'The Trip', released on Melting Pot Music. The singer has been part of Ben Lamdin's soulful, cosmic jazz 7 piece band Nostalgia 77 (Tru Thoughts). Following her debut on the album 'The Sleepwalking Society' in 2011 the band toured extensively through Europe. She continued her collaboration with Nostalgia 77 on the follow-up album 'A Journey Too Far', released in February 2014.
